painstaking research and experimentation we traced the
origins of historic floor coverings, reconstructed
traditional weaving patterns, and rediscovered old color
systems and flat-weave techniques. Each design is a
faithful replica or interpretation of an historic
pattern. Available in custom lengths, and widths from
27" to 9 feet.

Braided Rugs by Capel

Since 1917, Capel has been making
handsewn reversible braided rugs in a vast variety of
materials, colors, shapes and styles. For over 80 years
they have produced fine area rugs in woven, flatweave,
oriental, hand hooked, loop hooked and hand knotted
designs.
